We are very proud of Helen, one of our clinical nurse specialists, who completed Ironman Wales in Tenby raising vital funds for the health charity.

Helen, a member of local club the Dredgers Triathlon club, wanted to use her endurance event to raise funds for the Liver Service.

Ironman Wales is one of the hardest races in the world which includes a 2.4 mile sea swim, a challenging and hilly 112 mile bike ride, and finally a full 26.2 mile marathon.

Helen told us “It was my hardest challenge yet but I loved every moment of Ironman Wales, the support in Tenby was just fantastic. I am hoping to raise enough money in order for us to purchase a vein finding scanner to help in our outreach work in the community throughout Swansea bay Health board.”
