Swansea Bay Health Charity, has launched a ‘Design A Mascot’ Competition for children aged 6-15 across the local area.
The winners of each age category will receive an arts pack for the school, and the competition winner will get a chance for the mascot to visit their school in the New Year once their mascot design has been brought to life.
Swansea Bay Health Charity aims to improve patient care by providing equipment, staff training, funding research and completing special projects which go above and beyond what the NHS is able to provide. Your child may have benefited from the charity, because donations help to fund toys, games, books and new facilities on children’s wards and waiting rooms across the hospitals in the area.
The charity mascot will appear in hospitals and at events across the area.
We have extended the deadline for entries to our mascot competition until Friday 4th October.
It is not too late to get your school involved and help your local NHS.
The competition judges include local Arts in Education lead, Arts in Health Lead and Swansea Bay Health Charity staff.
